Did You Know?

Some students with disabilities are clients of the federal/state vocational rehabilitation system.

Vocational rehabilitation (VR) services can assist with developing a comprehensive training/educational plan, paying for adaptive equipment for personal use (e.g., Braillers, computer technology) and in some cases contribute to a student's tuition. A person is eligible for VR services if he or she has a disability, if the disability is a barrier to employment and if the provision of VR services can lead to employment. In all states it is VR's responsibility to provide financial assistance to support training for employment, however, the extent of this support varies between states and among individuals.
