Did You Know?

Only 1 in 10 people with disabilities have college degrees.

The results of a 2000 Harris Poll on the status of people with disabilities in the United States suggest that people with disabilities continue to participate less in employment, education, community, and political activities than those without disabilities. Of those polled, 23 percent with disabilities failed to complete high school compared to just 9 percent of individuals without disabilities. Only 12 percent said they were college graduates, which is approximately half the rate of people without disabilities.
