Did You Know?

Sign language interpreters must interpret everything that is said.

The Code of Ethics for Sign Language interpreters requires interpreters to interpret everything that is signed or spoken while they are working. This includes any audible comments or phone communication made in the person's presence. It is not appropriate to request the interpreter to withhold any information from the person who is deaf.
