Simple instructional methods can help students with learning disabilities take better notes.

A group of 31 university students with learning disabilities recommended five ways instructors can help them take better notes. Their suggestions include:

Providing lecture handouts or outlines.
Decreasing presentation rates.
Identifying important lecture points.
Increasing the use of visual aides.
Ensuring a match between lecture content and test content.
