Simple instructional methods can help students with learning disabilities take better notes.

A group of 31 university students with learning disabilities recommended five ways instructors can help them take better notes. Their suggestions include:

  • Providing lecture handouts or outlines.

  • Decreasing presentation rates.

  • Identifying important lecture points.

  • Increasing the use of visual aides.

  • Ensuring a match between lecture content and test content.
