Did You Know?

Students with disabilities face the same challenges as students without disabilities when transferring from 2-year to 4-year institutions.

Some students with disabilities who transferred from community colleges to four-year schools reported that in making the transition, they faced challenges related to a less supportive faculty, higher academic standards, and an increased sense of competition among students at four-year schools. These are similar to challenges reported by students without disabilities.
