Summer Camp for Young Burn Survivors

The Northwest Burn Foundation's Annual Summer Camp for young burn survivors held at Camp Waskowitz each July serves children aged 7 to 18 in Washington, Oregon, Montana, Idaho, and Alaska who have burn-related injuries. Costs for the week-long camp are covered by the Northwest Burn Foundation, including transportation to the rustic camp in the Cascade foothills near North Bend, Washington.

Campers also enjoy swimming, archery, outdoor games, hiking, river rafting, nightly campfires and much, much more. The camp staff includes adult burn survivors, firefighters, burn care professionals and other community members who volunteer their time to make this a special and rewarding experience for all who attend.

DO-IT offered email and Internet sessions for campers for several years. Those who especially enjoy computing work in a team put the camp activities online in a camp website.

Explore camper links to experience some of the online activities enjoyed by campers.
