DO-IT has hosted programs at existing camps for children and youth with disabilities. They encourage young people with disabilities to pursue challenging fields of study, attend college, and pursue rewarding careers. For example, at Camp Courage, MN, DO-IT teaches a 10-day program on Internet use; college preparation; and careers in science, engineering, mathematics; and technology. At other camps, DO-IT has offered Internet, science, college preview, and career preparation experiences for campers.
After their DO-IT Camper experience, many participants become DO-IT Pals, where they continue to communicate with each other and with electronic Mentors on the Internet. The programs listed below has hosted camps at which DO-IT has brought Internet and college/career preparation activities to their campers.
