Program: Multicultural Alumni Partnership
Description/ Dates: The Alumni club is working to promote diversity and to raise student scholarship money at the University of Washington. They meet at 4:30 p.m. on the 2nd Thursday of each month at the University of Washington Alumni Association.

Program:  Engineering Coalition of Schools for Excellence in Education & Leadership (ECSEL)
Description/Dates: The program, funded by the National Science Foundation, has structured activities around the twin goals of transformation of the undergraduate curriculum and increasing the diversity of engineering graduates. The scope has now broadened its vision to the integration of curricular and diversity aspects in all our endeavors.

Program: Minority Science & Engineering Program (MSEP)
Description/Dates: MSEP provides support programs targeted to underrepresented students studying math, science, and engineering, and includes academic workshops, study center, computer learning center, advising, tutoring, student societies, and scholarships. MSEP also provides extensive summer ALVA programs for entering freshmen, as well as a one week Bridge program just prior to the school year. Similar services are available to all students in the College of Engineering.

Program: Summer Prematriculation Program
Description/Dates: A six-week summer enrichment program for entering medical students. Program components include a condensed histology course, clinical PBL, sessions on study skills, financial aid and other School of Medicine resources. Students then take a histology final and those who pass can earn credit for the course. Open only to accepted UW medical students. Students must apply by letter to OMCA. June 23 to August 2, 2002

Program: Freshman Seminar
Description/Dates Spring Quarter, Wednesdays, 12:30-1:20. Nurses and nursing faculty will explore their roles as instructors, clinicians, and researchers. Specialty areas represented may include trauma/flight nursing, midwifery, laboratory science, nurse practitioners, jail nursing, and nursing research. Participants will be introduced to the process of applying to nursing school. Students will be exposed to nursing, to a diverse set of nursing role models, and helped to formulate ideas for future roles they may have as nurses.

Description/Dates: NWCROW was established to promote, disseminate and support feminist research by and about women.
