| DESCRIPTION: The Central District Forum for Arts & Ideas presents the Seattle premiere of the Brewery Troupe's, The Crowtations. The Crowtations, the featured and longest running act of the Brewery Troupe features four high-flying, smooth-sounding, soul-singing birds. This rhythm revue of soul music and hip-hopping choreography uses dialogue to weave key components of African-American history with an examination of contemporary culture and social issues. The Revue includes the Sistahs, three torch singers who are more vulnerable than the rough and tumble Crowtations. Also on the bill are the comedy of two soul men, Clinton and Washington. These hip and wise-cracking characters have performed throughout the world and have appeared with Bill Cosby, the Boys Choir of Harlem, Regis Philbin, and many more.The Brewery Troupe presents a unique form of puppetry with soul and is the first African-American puppetry company to gain recognition on Broadway, network television, and international festivals and concerts. Tickets go on sale January 1, 2004. Ticket prices are $10 for adults, $7 for CD Forum members/students/seniors and $5 for children 12 and under.
