Tragic events in 1979 changed Trudell^Òs life forever. His wife, three children and mother-in-law were killed in a house fire, in Duck Valley, Nevada. Some believe the incident was an direct retribution for John^Òs involvement of burning the American Flag on the steps of the FBI headquarters, just 24 hours earlier. Twenty ^Öfour years later, John continues to hearten the American Indian Movement and inspire others through political activism, music and spirituality.
