Executive Vice Provost for Academic Affairs
The Office of the Executive Vice Provost supports the Provost across a range of responsibilities that involve tuition, enrollment and budget policy, as well as academic program reviews, institutional planning, and accreditation.
Additionally, the Executive Vice Provost is responsible for coordinating efforts with state agencies regarding higher education and inter-institutional policies. The Executive Vice Provost represents the Provost in Tri-campus governance and faculty affairs issues and is the Provost’s representative on several university committees.
Doug Wadden was named Executive Vice Provost in April 2008 and is a Professor of Visual Communication Design. He holds the Marsha and Jay Glazer Endowed University Professorship and is a former Chair of the Faculty Senate. A member of the faculty since 1970, he has chaired numerous campus committees and panels. An internationally recognized design consultant with extensive background in museum, institutional and corporate communications, he completed his graduate studies at Yale University and has been represented in numerous exhibitions, competitions, books, journals, and collections in the United States, Europe and Asia. In 1998 he was elected a member of the Alliance Graphique Internationale in Zurich, Switzerland.
