Voice Mail Tips Put You in the Driver's Seat
Voice mail has features that can help you retrieve your messages more
easily. Whether you need to slow a message down or pause in the middle of
listening to one, you can do that--and more--by pressing the appropriate
telephone key.
Adjusting for Speed
-
When listening to your messages, you can adjust the speed for fast-or
slow-talking callers by using these two keys:
-
[4] Slow down the message
-
[6] Speed up the message
Hearing Your Caller
-
These two keys let you adjust for soft-spoken callers:
-
[9] Increase the volume
-
[8] Return to normal volume
Getting Around Quickly
-
Going backward or forward as you listen to your message can be as easy as
1, 2, 3:
-
[1] Rewind part way
-
[1][1] Rewind to beginning
-
[2] Pause and restart
-
[3] Fast forward part way
-
[3][3] Fast forward to end
-
[#] Skip to the next message
-
If you know what you want to do, you can press these keys in quick
succession:
-
[3][3][7] Fast forward to end of message and delete it
-
[3][3][9] Fast forward to end of message and save it (or return it to
archives)
