Configuring GoLive CS 2 to use SFTP

Summary

This document describes how to configure Adobe GoLive CS 2 for Mac OS X to use the Secure File Transfer Protocol.

Configuring GoLive CS 2:

To configure Adobe GoLive CS 2 for Mac OS X to transfer files via the Secure File Transfer Protocol:

  1. Start Adobe GoLive.

  2. Click the Site menu and select Settings...

  3. Select Publish Server from the list on the left. Click the New Site button if you don't yet have a site. Select "ftp" as the protocol and fill out the account information as you would normally, using Homer, Dante, or shell.myuw.net, public_html/, your UW NetID and password, etc. Then click the Advanced button.

  4. Select the SFTP option and press OK.

  5. Click OK on the Site Settings window to save the settings. You're done! Use GoLive's FTP publish function as you would normally.
