Configuring FrontPage to Use the UW Kerberos FTP Proxy

Summary

This document describes how to configure FrontPage for Microsoft Windows to use the UW Kerberos FTP Proxy. The instructions apply to FrontPage 98/2000/2002 on Windows95/98/ME/2000/XP with Internet Explorer 5 or later installed.

Note: Due to the way FrontPage handles FTP transfers, it cannot make use of the UW Kerberos FTP Proxy if your computer is behind a device which shares a single IP address among multiple computers. Examples of such devices include home cable/DSL routers and Windows Internet Connection sharing.
