Configuring Dreamweaver to use the UW Kerberos FTP Proxy
Summary
This document describes how to configure Macromedia Dreamweaver for Windows to use the UW Kerberos FTP Proxy.
Configuring Dreamweaver:
To configure Dreamweaver 4.0 or Dreamweaver MX(if older than 2004) for Windows to transfer files thru the secure UW Kerberos FTP Proxy:

Make sure the UW Kerberos FTP Proxy is running on your computer.

Start Macromedia Dreamweaver.

Click the Edit menu and select Preferences...

The Preferences dialogue box appears.

Click the Site category from the list on the left. Enter localhost for the Firewall Host. Enter 2021 for the Firewall Port.

Click Define Sites... to open the Define Sites dialogue box.

Either select your site from the list on the left and click Edit or click New to define a new site. The appropriate Site Definition dialogue box will appear.

Select the Remote Info category from the list on the left.

Select FTP for the Access type and fill out the account information as you would normally, using Homer, Dante, or
shell.myuw.net, public_html/, your UW NetID and password, etc.Check Use Passive FTP and Use Firewall. You need to use both with the UW Kerberos FTP Proxy.

Click OK, Done and OK to save the settings and close the dialogue boxes.

You're done! Use Dreamweaver's FTP publish function as you would normally.
