VIEWING URLS WITH A GRAPHICAL WEB BROWSER

When you receive a message that has a URL in the text, PC-Pine can open that web page using your favorite graphical web browser.

If a message that you are viewing contains a URL, PC-Pine will highlight the URL. Press <Return> when the URL is highlighted and you will see the following message:

View selected URL "http://..."?

Press Y (Yes) and your default web browser will open and display that page.

If your version of PC-Pine 4 is not configured to view URLs, you can enable the feature.

To enable this feature in PC-Pine:

  1. From the Main Menu, choose S (Setup) and then C (Configure).
  2. Type W (WhereIs) and search for "url".
  3. You should see the following line:

    [ ] enable-msg-view-urls

  4. Press X (Select).
  5. Exit the Setup Configuration screen and save your changes.
