The Config Menu at the top of your PC-Pine Window has some features
that are only accessible via that menu. Here are two features that you
may find useful:
TOOLBAR
The toolbar option adds, well, a toolbar in your PC-Pine window. This
toolbar can be either at the top or the bottom of your window. By
default, the Toolbar On Top feature is already selected in PC-Pine. If
you would like your toolbar to be at the bottom of your window, open the
Config Menu and select "Toolbar On Top" so that it is no longer checked.
The toolbar contains different buttons depending on what you are doing.
For example, if you are at your Main Menu, the toolbar will contain the
following active buttons: Quit, Folders, Index, and Compose. If you are
composing a message, the toolbar will have: Send, Cancel, Postpone, and
Attach. All of these options are, of course, available to you in the
regular command line menus. If you prefer to use your mouse, however, you
may find the toolbar useful.
DIALOG BOXES
The "Use Dialog Boxes" option in the Config menu is handy if you prefer
standard Windows dialog boxes over the command line notices from Unix
Pine. For example, when you cancel a message in PC-Pine, you are normally
asked the following at the bottom of your screen:
Cancel message (answering "Yes" will abandon your mail message)
?
If you have "Use Dialog Boxes" chosen, you will instead get the
following window:

The "Use Dialog Boxes" feature makes it easier to use your mouse in
PC-Pine. If you are used to using your keyboard to issue commands, you
can continue doing so even though the dialog boxes appear.
You may find that PC-Pine is a little more "user-friendly" with the
"Use Dialog Boxes" option chosen.
