Software on DanteThis cluster of three DELL servers running Redhat Enterprise Linux 3 is configured to support electronic mail and related services. An interface called the padded shell (psh) is displayed when you access the Dante system. It provides an easy-to-use menu that you navigate to access your mail INBOX and folders using Pine, to manage your mail forwarding, and to check your resource usage. Dante has a Web development environment you can use to create and edit your Web pages within your Web directory. This cluster consists of computing equipment partially financed by the Student Technology Fee.Dante is restricted to use by students. University of Washington students can create their own accounts on this Uniform Access (UA) Unix computer. Categories included on this page:
