Enscript 2.2

Available on the computers: Dante and Homer

The enscript command reads a text file, converts it to PostScript format, and spools the file for printing on a PostScript printer. Adobe enscript has many options which can be used to customize printouts.

Using the Software
Fonts, headings, limited formatting options and spooling options may be specified. For example:

enscript -2r -Pprinter file.txt

prints a two-column landscape listing of the file called file.txt on the printer called printer (a nice way to get program listings).

Documentation
A man page is available. At the system prompt type:

% man enscript
