T&D offers new e-Learning subscriptions
UW Training & Development is augmenting its traditional in-class offerings with some 700 interactive online courses via e-Learning subscriptions. Project management, team building, information technology, and more are offered; most can be completed in 1-4 hours. Subscribers have 24/7 access.

UW Web Credit Card can handle recurring charges
The UW Web Credit Card application offers departments a central system to accept credit card payments over the Web. Besides transaction processing and management, inquiry, and reporting, a new feature--introduced for the KEXP pledge drive--processes recurring charges on a selected interval.

E-RESOURCES OF THE MONTH: Focus on statistics

    LexisNexis Statistical
Try this powerful tool for accessing statistics--including federal, state, and international--on just about any topic. It's licensed by UW Libraries for students, faculty, and staff. The PowerTables, with extensive help screens, can help you quickly find full-text statistical tables.

    Bureau of Justice Statistics
Need crime stats fast? This Web site is packed with statistics on victims and offenders, sentencing, jails, capital punishment, drugs or firearms and crime, and more. Spreadsheets, charts, and graphs are included, plus links to FBI Uniform Crime Reports and other federal statistics.

TECH BIT: Ergonomics first
Following up on last month's Tech Bit is a reminder from UW Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S). Prevention of repetitive stress injuries involves having your computer and workstation set up so it is ergonomic for you. Get resources and information about free EH&S workshops online.
