Infrastructure Projects for the MSCA Initiative

The Microsoft collaborative applications are enterprise-level systems that provide large organizations with secure, scalable solutions to business needs. These robust applications require infrastructure upgrades to realize the full power of their many features and benefits. Accordingly, the MSCA Initiative includes the following projects to provide the infrastructure upgrades.

Delegated Operating Units (OUs)

The MSCA Initiative will make new services available to the university:

• Account and group management policies and processes
• Dynamic DNS
• AD Integrated CA
• ILM Group Management and Certificate Management
• Updates to vaious tools and processes

Group Management

This project will gather requirements for group management and provisioning within the NETID domain. Group management policies and services affect all aspects of the MSCA implementation initiative, especially Exchange and SharePoint. This project will create the partnerships needed to decide what group management services must be provided to satisfy customer needs for MSCA Initiative Phases 1 and 2.
