Overview
The Shibboleth® system provides web authentication
services based on industry standards for federated single sign-on between
organizations. Shibboleth provides the UW community with a standards-based
solution for use cases that may involve UW users accessing external
applications or external users accessing UW applications. The UW Shibboleth
Identity Provider (IdP) is complementary to the UW NetID "weblogin"
service.
