Minimum Requirements

Hardware

To study or do work at the UW, you need a computer workstation with at least the minimum specifications listed. When you have the opportunity to upgrade check the Recommendations When Upgrading or Buying New

Software

The UW Internet Connectivity Kit (UWICK) is a CD-ROM that contains the software you need for your initial work and study assignments at the university. The UWICK is available at the University Book Store and is recommended for its:

Since departments at the UW vary in what specific software they recommend and support, if you are faculty or staff, check with your departmental computing support before choosing software.
