Title:  How can I change the status of messages in WebPine?

Question:
I have messages marked "A" (Answered) that I would like to
change back to "N" (new), or vice-versa.  How can I do that?

Answer:
You can change the status of messages when you are in the message list for
a folder as follows:

(a) There are two sets of powerful controls that may or may not be exposed
    at the top of your list of messages.  If they are not fully exposed
    they appear as tiny rectangular icons near the left edge and just
    above the message list and look somewhat like this: [>  ].  Click on
    these icons to expose them.  The set of interest here looks like this:

    Search and Mark      Message Status         Save Messages
    [Search] [Show...]   [Set] status to [...]  [Save] to [...] or ...

(b) Mark the message (or messages) whose status you wish to change
    by using the mouse to click the checkbox to the immediate left of
    the message

(c) Then set whatever status you want by selecting it in the select
    box:       [Set] status to [...]
    and then click [Set]
