Title: Can I block or 'filter' my incoming email messages?

Question:
I have my email delivered to my UW Inbox. Because I subscribe to several
email lists, and often get unwanted junk mail, I'd like to be able to sort
incoming messages into folders and throw away the junk. Is that possible?

Answer:
There is a utility, called the Email Delivery Manager, (EDM) available to
help you set up this sort of email filtering and to manage changes to your
filter rules. EDM has a junk email filtering service. The utility also
includes, blocking, sorting, forwarding, email auto-responses, and
'vacation' service.

Note that filtering email messages is a powerful tool. While many things
are simple to do, others can be complicated. Care should be taken when
setting up rules.

You'll find the Email Delivery Manager on the Web. Just go to MyUW:

	https://myuw.washington.edu

In the MyUW "MyFrontPage" box labeled "Email" choose the
"Message Filtering" link to get to the Email Delivery Manager.
