Title: What are daily non-batch cpu quanta?

Question:
The assets command reports how many minutes of "daily non-batch cpu
quantum" I've used. What is a daily non-batch cpu quantum? How is this
asset significant?

Answer:
Daily non-batch cpu quantum is simply the amount of CPU time you've used
since 8am. It accumulates for a 24-hour period starting at 8am everyday
and excludes CPU time used for batch jobs. Your usage of this quantum is
only significant when your 5-day average of CPU minutes exceeds its
threshold. For example:

	Threshold Usage
	   ------ -----
10.00 0.00 Connect hours per day (5-day average)
20.00 19.99 CPU minutes per day (5-day average)
	     2.00 1.50 Daily non-batch cpu quantum
20.00 5.00 Megabytes disk space (5 day average usage)

As long as usage of "CPU minutes per day" doesn't exceed 20.00, the daily
non-batch cpu quantum isn't significant. However, when usage of "CPU
minutes per day" grows larger than 20.00, the usage of daily non-batch cpu
quantum determines how long before your account will be regulated. (A
regulated account is given a lower priority by the CPU, giving it an
overall appearance of sluggishness.) Here the daily non-batch threshold is
2.00 minutes and 1.50 minutes have been used. If the 20.00 CPU minutes
threshold is exceeded, then there is only 0.50 minutes of daily non-batch
cpu time before the account is regulated.

So, keep the 5-day average of CPU minutes below its threshold and you
don't have to concern yourself with daily non-batch cpu quanta.
