Accessibility Testing

The University of Washington seeks to provide access, equal opportunity, and reasonable accommodation in its services, programs, activities, education, and employment for individuals with disabilities. Making all of the University's electronic resources universally accessible is a crucial part of this continuing mission.

The Access Technology Lab (ATL) staff can assist you in the process of designing and testing accessible facilities and information resources. Examples of what we do include:

1. Demonstrations of access hardware and software.
2. Assistance in determining the appropriate combination of hardware and software to meet an individual's needs.
3. Conversion to and production of materials in alternative formats (electronic, braille, large-print, etc.).
4. Testing the accessibility of electronic resources (via screen, keyboard, speech input, speech output, etc.).
