ATL Quickstart: Read & Write

Read & Write provides real-time spell checking, word prediction, word choice and grammatical suggestions, text to speech capabilities, and document reading for PCs.

Starting Read & Write

  1. Click on the Start Button on the Windows task bar at the bottom of the screen.
  2. Click on the AT Applications folder.
  3. Click on the Read & Write icon.

(You can also press <Ctrl> + <Alt> + <R>)

Using Read & Write

Start your word processing program. Start Read & Write. All of the programs features can be accessed by accessing the toolbar that appears at the top of the screen (As the cursor moves over each button, text appears describing its function). All system settings and options can be accessed by clicking on the clipboard icon at the far right of the toolbar.

Quitting Read & Write

Click on the clipboard icon and the far right of the toolbar. Choose Exit Read & Write from the menu.

Help

To access help, click on the clipboard icon at the far right of the toolbar and select Help on Read & Write from the menu.
