Operating the OpticBook

At this time, ATL Staff does not recommend using the enlarged buttons on the OpticBook to scan. Rather, ATL Staff recommends the following steps:

  1. Make sure the OpticBook is on. The power button is a toggle switch located on the right side of the scanner. There is no audio indicator that it is on. The OpticBook is on if the switch is facing you.
  2. Open a scanning program, like OpenBook, or WYNN.
  3. Use that program's built in scanning functionality.

The enlarged buttons do not work properly in the various scanning programs offered in the Access Technology Lab.
