Click on the links below to be connected to the Quick Start for each program. Each Quick Start provides a brief introduction to the program and a short guide to using its basic features. ATL Quick Starts

ABBYY FineReader

Scans and preforms Optical Character Recognition (OCR) to printed materials, and allows the text and/or graphics tou be saved in a variety of formats.

ClaroRead

Provides Text to Speech in any program using a floating toolbar.

Writing and organization software.

JAWS for Windows

Provides screen-reading capability for users with visual impairments.

Microsoft Magnifier

Allows for easier viewing by enlarging a portion of the screen.

NaturalReader

Provides text-to-speech capability from any program where text can be selected.

OpticBook

A scanner to convert print text to electronic text.

Scan and Read Pro

Scans printed text and reads it with a speech synthesizer. Simpler interface than similar products.

Text to Audio

Converts text to audio (.mp3 format).

ZoomText

Screen enlargment software with basic speech output and text-reading software.
