Duxbury Braille Translator QS

The Duxbury Braille Translator (DBT) is a program allows a user to translate a document into Braille for printing with a Braille embosser.

Starting DBT

  1. Click on the Start Menu
  2. Click on AT Applications
  3. Click on DBT Win
(This program can also be started by pressing and holding the key combination Ctrl + Alt + D.)

Opening a document with DBT

Select File, then Open. Locate the file you wish to open in the Dialog Box. Click on "OK"

Embossing

Click File then Translate from the menu. The text will convert into Braille. Next click on File again and click Emboss. Chose the amount of copies you wish to Emboss. Modify these options as needed and click OK.

Quitting DBT

To quit DBT, click on the X in the left corner of the DBT window, or press Alt + F4.

To receive help with this product click the Help menu, or press F1, the button located next to the Esc key on your keyboard.
