ASTRA for Developers: Production Checklist

Purpose: This document provides a checklist for application developers getting ready to promote an ASTRA-enabled application to a production environment.

  1. Notify the ASTRA team at astra@u.washington.edu at least one week in advance of your deployment.
The ASTRA team will need to
    1. Promote your authorization schema to the ASTRA production environment.
    2. Authorize your production application identity so that it can consume authorizations from the ASTRA service. NOTE: You may have already had your pre-production identity authorized for pre-production authorizations; but you will need to do the same thing for a production identity.

If this is your first time integrating with ASTRA, you can take care of this step as soon as the production schema has confirmed and stabilized in the EVAL environment.

  2. If you are using the ASTRA web service, make sure that your identity has access to the certificate private key that you will be using. If you are running on the C&C server farm, you can check this with ds-windows@cac.washington.edu
