  1. ASTRA Web service (campus-wide)

    The ASTRA Web service is the platform-agnostic API for all campus applications. Applications authenticate to the ASTRA Web service with a UWCA client certificate.

  2. SQL Batch (UW Technology Server Farm)

    Some applications, in particular vendor packages, cannot easily integrate look-ups to the ASTRA web service. In such cases, the ASTRA team may be able to provide scheduled batch downloads of authorization data. Please contact the ASTRA development team for more information.

  3. Microsoft .NET/COM (UW Technology Server Farm) - Deprecated

    AstraProvider is a deprecated API, available only to existing consumers on the UW Technology server farm. Using COM+ services, AstraProvider allows applications (running under a defined Windows domain identity) to retrieve appropriate authorizations from ASTRA.
