New Title IX Prevention and Education Program

The Title IX Training & Education Working Committee—in collaboration with stakeholders on all three UW campuses and at UW Medicine—is developing a new prevention and education program for students and employees on addressing sexual violence, sexual and gender harassment, and other sexual misconduct. New Title IX regulations being developed

In a Dear Colleague Letter issued on 9/22/17, the U.S. Department of Education withdrew statements of policy and guidance in its 2011 Dear Colleague Letter and its 2014 Questions and Answers on Title IX.  Q&A on Campus Sexual Misconduct serves as interim guidance while new regulations are developed and go through a formal notice and comment period.

The University’s commitment to preventing sexual violence and properly investigating and addressing allegations is unwavering. Important information can be found on the University’s student conduct website,  sexual assault resources website, and in the Office of the President’s messages supporting sexual assault prevention and response.
