One-Stop Shopping for Commute and Parking Information

U-PASS and Parking Services websites combine to one Commuter Services site

Let’s say you usually take the bus to campus, but next week you have to bring your car. Do you know where can you park and how much will it cost? Do you know that your U-PASS allows you to take advantage of Pay-Per-Use-Parking (PPUP) and purchase Individual Commuter Tickets at discounted rates? Perhaps someone is visiting your office and you need to send them a map and arrange for their parking. Now you can go to one source to get answers to all your questions about getting to campus and parking here when you have to have your car. The new Commuter Services  website offers one-stop shopping for all your commuting and parking information: www.washington.edu/commuterservices

The Commuter Services home page gets right to the point-- asking the questions whose answers take you to the information you need without a lot of clicking around. You can enter the site through the menus under “Getting to the UW” “Parking at the UW” “Commuter Programs” or “Manage Your Account” OR you can simply click on one of the mode icons at the top of the page to select information about Public Transit, Carpool/Vanpool, Driving Alone, Biking, or Walking.

For the time being, a click to the old U-PASS or Parking Services websites will redirect you the new site, but take a minute to update your links. Bookmark  the new URL as a favorite and, if you are responsible for your department’s website, change your link to the new site there.

Also, we are happy to work with individuals involved with campus publications and web sites to make sure that parking and commuting details for trips to the Main Seattle Campus are complete and correct. Please contact Elena Fox at eefox@u.washington.edu or Linda Hanlon at lindah7@u.washington.edu to arrange for assistance with updating the parking and other commuter information you share.
