Sales
During autumn quarter 1998 there were 41,432 U-PASSes in circulation, an
increase of 13.5 percent from 1991. Of these, a total of 35,974 U-PASSes
were directly purchased, while 5,458 were provided free with parking permits.
81 percent of students purchased the U-PASS, while about 40 percent of
faculty and staff purchased a U-PASS and 23 percent instead received a
free U-PASS with their parking permit. Overall, 77 percent of the
campus population participates in the U-PASS program.
