1996-97 U-PASS Results

Participation

During the 1996-97 academic year, which includes summer quarter when U-PASS participation is normally lower, the U-PASS achieved a 75 percent campus-wide participation rate. Interestingly, student participation was at an all-time high of 82 percent while faculty and staff participation was lower at 65 percent.

During autumn quarter 1997 there were 41,447 U-PASSes in circulation, an increase of 12 percent from a year earlier, and student participation was at an unprecedented 85 percent.
