1996-97 U-PASS Results

Night Ride

The Night Ride is an evening van service that picks up students, faculty and staff on campus and delivers them to their destination in nearby neighborhoods. The service is provided nine months of the year (autumn through spring quarters) and is operated by a private vendor on contract to the University.

Participation continues to rise for the 1996-97 school year, thanks in part to an aggressive marketing campaign. More than 37,000 rides were taken on the Night Ride, an increase of 57 percent from the first year it was implemented and the average cost per rider had decreased 30 percent for the same period.
