Faculty/Staff Features
Because the transportation needs of faculty and staff are usually different from those of students, they are eligible for the Reimbursed Ride Home program.
Reimbursed Ride Home
Faculty and staff who experience an emergency and whose usual transportation is unavailable when they must leave campus can call a taxi cab and be reimbursed for 90 percent of the fare up to 50 miles per quarter. In 1995-96, an average of 13 faculty and staff used the program each month. The average number of participants has remained relatively constant over the years, but average trip length has risen slightly and average fare paid has seen a 48 percent increase.
