Parking Lot Waitlist Information

Currently, a UW employee's name can be added ONLY to the following waitlists:

  • C1, C3, C5, C7, C10, C12, C14, C15, C17
  • E6, E9
  • N3, N4, N5, N6, N16
  • W8, W9, W10, W11, W12, W13, W14, W34, W35, W39, W40

Please note:

  • Faculty/staff with a status changed to anything other than active employee will be dropped from a waitlist. Should your status return to active, notify Commuter Services to get back on a wait list from the date of notification.
  • No other waitlists are open to any UW employee at this time.
  • Students are not eligible for wailists.
To view the waitlist table for Central, East, North and West Campus lots, click here.
An UW employee may choose to add his/her name to up to 3 of the above waitlists by stopping by either Commuter Services office or sending an e-mail request to prkissue@u.washington.edu. Keep in mind that the following waiting list priorities will determine how quickly you move off a waitlist and into a parking area:
  • job classification
  • type of permit (carpool members are given priority over individual permit holders)
  • date placed on the waiting list
It is possible for a permit holder to go from #15 on a list to #18 after several months of being on that list. This can happen because other permit holders with higher priority are added to the list in front of him/her.

Waitlist processing is on-going. Lots with vacancies are offered and filled as soon as a vacancy is noted. Faculty and staff members are notified via email regarding space availability for lots they have requested.

Regarding South Campus

There are no waitlists available for any South Campus lot. Parking spaces in South Campus lots are allocated by UWMC or Health Science Building departments. Interested employees should contact the administrator for their department regarding availability. A department allocating a space to a particular employee faxes a letter of confirmation with proper authorization to Commuter Services. Commuter Services then notifies the recipient via email or phone about when to come in and what to bring along when picking up the permit.

Please note: Commuter Services does sell Night Permits (valid 4 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.) for South Campus parking areas. Lot assignments for Night Permits are obtained directly from Commuter Services and are more readily available.

If you have questions regarding your waitlist position, or would like to take your name off a waiting list, please e-mail Permit Issuance
at prkissue@u.washington.edu.
