2008 Seattle Campus Parking Fees

Daily Parking Options

Gatehouse Traffic Guides answer questions, provide maps, give directions and assign parking for visitors and guests. All parking on campus requires a permit or payment. Before parking, stop at a gatehouse for a parking permit. Cash and Visa/Mastercard are accepted as payment. If your visit is less than four hours, stop at a gatehouse when you leave for a prorated refund. University guests, patients, event attendees and others including off-campus UW employees and affiliates should ask their "host" department for transportation and parking recommendations or contact Commuter Services at 206-685-1543 or parking@u.washington.edu.

The Montlake E1 lot is available to students, faculty and staff at a discount rate when paid by Husky Card Account debit. Also, anyone, including the public, may park in E1 by paying with cash. There is no overnight parking in E1. Special events may affect availability and price. E1, E3 and E4 lots have pay stations at the entrances (exact change required). Self-serve pay station parking is also available in West Campus lots: W2, W4, W6, W12, W14 after 4 p.m. Lots W6, W12 and W14 also allow 2 hour parking before 4 p.m. at $3/hr. for a maximum of 2 hours.

U-PASS Carpools

Gatehouse and Montlake E1 carpool rates are available to UW employees and students who each have a U-PASS and money in a Husky Card Account. No cash is accepted for gatehouse or E1 carpool parking. West Campus Garage (WCG) PPUP members with U-PASSes who ride together also qualify for a carpool rate for the WCG.

Students

Parking permits are available to students living in campus housing (quarterly or academic year) and to commuting students (quarterly only). Students living in campus housing apply for a permit through House & Food Services (HFS). Commuter students purchase permits at Commuter Services. A student U-PASS is purchased as part of the quarterly enrollment registration process. It is not purchased from Commuter Services.
