Swing Shift Parking Permit

The Swing Shift Permit is designed for employees whose work shift starts after 2:30 p.m. The permit is valid weekdays from 2:30 p.m. to 8 a.m. the next morning and on Saturdays until noon and may be purchased on a quarterly or annual basis. The Swing Shift Permit is available for for parking lots C12, E2, E11, E12, N28 and W2 only. Unlike SOV Permits, Swing Shift Permits do not come with a complimentary U-PASS. Swing Shift Permit holders are eligible to purchase Individual Commuter Tickets (ICTs) or a Short Term Permit if they have a need to park outside the hours of the Swing Shift Permit from time to time. This permit is not available to students.

Employees who purchase the Swing Shift Permit :

  • are assigned to a lot based on the priority code of their job classification and space availability at the time of purchase.
  • are responsible for contacting Commuter Services to update their vehicle information record.
  • may request an out-of-area permit on the rare occasion when a meeting or class requires parking in a different lot. (Note: Out-of-area permit usage is monitored).
  • may park during special events such as football or basketball games within the permit timeframe; however, may be required to park in a different area.
  • may park in E5 to attend home baseball games within the permit timeframe.
