MOTORCYCLE/SCOOTER/MOPED PARKING OPTIONS

Quarterly and Annual Motorcycle Parking Permits

Commuting by motorcycle, scooter or moped is inexpensive and energy efficient. Motorcycle/Moped/Scooter Permits are sold on a quarterly or annual basis to UW employees, and by the academic year or quarter to students living in campus housing, and quarterly only to commuter students. Park only in motorcycle parking areas.

A faculty or staff member who already has a Single Occupancy Permit (SOV) may request a Motorcycle Permit at no additional charge. Faculty/staff members who purchase Motorcycle Permits receive complimentary U-PASSes for their personal use upon request. Students who purchase a Motorcycle Permit within the first four weeks of an academic quarter or the first three weeks of the summer quarter can keep their U-PASS and the U-PASS fee will be waived.

How to Purchase

  • Purchases are made at either Commuter Services office.
  • Bring in a Customer Information Form if you are purchasing for the first time or if your personal or vehicle information has changed.
  • Bring in your Husky Card (UW ID card), vehicle make and license plate information.
  • Accepted methods of payment include cash, check, Visa/Mastercard, Husky Card Account and pre-tax payroll deductions for eligible employees.
  • Permits may be purchased or canceled at any time at Parking Services.
  • Permits/U-PASSes may not be purchased by mail or online at this time.
  • Permits/U-PASSes are the property of the university and must be returned to Commuter Services when canceled for any reason. Employees paying by payroll deduction are responsible for all accrued fees for unreturned items until they expire.
  • Parking violations must be settled prior to purchasing a permit.

Daily Motorcycle/Scooter Permit

Motorcycle/Moped/Scooter Permits may also be purchased on a daily basis from any campus gatehouse. Daily Motorcycle Permits should be prominently displayed and securely attached. Be sure to keep the stub of your Daily Permit in case the permit on your vehicle disappears.

Motorcycle/Scooter/Moped Parking Areas

All motorized vehicles which are parked on campus must have a valid permit, prominently displayed. All campus parking is on a first-come basis and some motorcycle parking areas may be full upon arrival. If so, proceed to the next motorcycle parking area or adjust your arrival time.
