INDIVIDUAL COMMUTER TICKETS

If you typically drive to campus no more than two days per week, you may purchase Individual Commuter Tickets (ICTs). Temporary/hourly and permanent employees (including ASEs) may purchase ICTs. You do not need an ICT on days when the gatehouses are closed .

Tickets are sold in even increments between 6 and 26 tickets. If you are a faculty or staff member working on the Seattle campus and you have a U-PASS, you may purchase ICTs at a reduced rate of $3.06 each. The full rate is $5.20. You will be assigned a lot as close as possible to your destination.

NOTE: Except for Academic Student Employees (ASEs), ICTs are not available to students. ICTs are not valid for parking at athletic events.

When you purchase ICTs, you will be assigned a parking lot which will be labeled on each ticket. ICTs are valid in your assigned lot and load zones (for the posted time limit) as well as in any unrestricted lot after 4 p.m. [link to unrestricted lot list]. Each ICT is fills in the date on the ticket which validates it for that calendar day only. If you need to park in your assigned lot past gatehouse opening time on the following day, you must date/validate two (2) ICT's and display both on your vehicle.

If you must work on a home football game day or during events drawing over 24,000 spectators, you do not have to pay extra to park on campus. However, you may be assigned a different parking location for that day. If you lot is being used for special event/football parking, go to a campus gatehouse to be reassigned to another parking area.

Employees who purchase ICTs:

  • are assigned to a lot based on the priority code of their job classification and space availability at the time of purchase.
  • may request to be placed on a wait list for a preferred parking lot.
  • are responsible for contacting Parking Services to update their vehicle information record.
  • may be eligible to pay for a Multiple-Area Designator if your job involves work assignments for more than one area. Submit a letter from your department head verifying your need to prkissue@u.washington.edu

  • may request an Out-of-Area Permit from any gatehouse on the rare occasion when a meeting or class requires parking in a different lot. (Note: Out-of-Area Permit usage is monitored).
  • may park in any unrestricted lot after 4 p.m. without stopping at a gatehouse. Check the parking area signs to be sure the area/space is not restricted “At All Times, On All Days” to specific types of permits.
  • may park in load zones for the posted time.
  • may park during special events such as football or basketball games; however, may be required to park in a different area.
