Carpool Parking Permit

Use your U-PASS to park as a two or three person carpool. You don’t have to carpool everyday or share the ride in both directions to qualify for U-PASS carpool benefits.
Impromptu Carpooling with Two
Park for just 70 cents when you carpool with one other U-PASS holder. Park in lot E1 (on Montlake Blvd, north of Husky Stadium). Two students must have valid UPASSes and money on two Husky Card™ Accounts. Each Husky Card™ will be deducted $.35 ($.70 per carpool). No cash is accepted for carpool parking. Enter at the southeast carpool entrance.
Impromptu Carpooling with Three
Park on upper campus for just 90 cents per day. Three student U-PASS holders arrive at the campus gatehouse and present all three Husky Cards™ to the attendant. Each card must have a valid U-PASS sticker and money on each Husky Card™ account.
The following reserved carpool areas are available on a first-come, first-served basis:
- Central Plaza Garage (enter at NE 41st and 15th Ave NE)
- N5 (enter at NE 45th & Memorial Way)
- Padelford Garage (enter at 25th Ave NE and NE 44th)
Off-peak Impromptu Carpool Parking
After 4:00 pm M—F or before noon on Saturday, two students can park for $.90 per carpool on main campus (each carpool member must have a valid U-PASS and each must have money on a Husky Card™ Account. The fee will be split between each card. No cash is accepted for carpool parking).

- E12 (Husky Stadium lot)
- S1 (enter off 15th Ave NE behind Health Sciences).
Sorry, quarterly carpool permits are not issued to students. However you can register with a faculty or staff person as a member of their carpool.

Carpool and Vanpool Ferry Preferential Loading Registration
High-Occupancy-Vehicle (HOV) permits for preferential loading on the ferry can be requested online as well as by mail. Expedite the registration process by registering an annual carpool, vanpool, or bicycle permit online at Registration Form (pdf). Credit cards are the accepted form of payment for online applications.
