Note about Check Processing

Your check will be processed by the Student Fiscal Services Office (SFS), which functions as the University of Washington Cashier. SFS processes checks electronically, using the information on the check to create an electronic funds transfer. Your check authorizes a one-time electronic funds transfer (withdrawal) of funds from your bank account. You will not receive your cancelled check because SFS is required to destroy the check after it has been processed.
