In addition to city buses, UW Shuttles are also available to students including the Health Sciences Express, the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance Shuttle, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center Shuttle and South Lake Union Shuttle. Parking spaces are available to students living on campus. Apply for parking through your residence hall desk/HFS. Disability parking fees are the same as non-disability. For campus access information see www.washington.edu/admin/ada.

Walk, Bike, Bus and Share Your Ride

Walk or bicycle to campus. The University District is walking and bicycling-friendly with cafes, shopping, a network of connected trails and public transportation. Almost 50 bus routes connect the UW Seattle campus to neighborhoods and Park & Ride lots.

Need to drive? Share your ride. Sharing your ride helps relieve road and parking congestion. Discounted parking is available for UW U-PASS carpools and vanpools. See www.washington.edu/commuterservices/programs/upass for other programs including shuttles and more.

Student Parking Permits

All outstanding parking violations must be settled before you may purchase a parking permit.

Parking assignments are based on space availability. Campus parking areas are allocated between faculty, staff, students and visitors. Transportation and parking options help reduce the demand for campus parking. All parking is first-come, first-served.

Purchasing Instructions - Quarterly Student Parking Permits may be purchased from either Commuter Services office. Purchases may be paid by using a Husky Card Account, check, Visa/Mastercard or cash. Residence hall students apply for parking through Housing & Food Services (HFS). Ask your residence hall desk if you have questions. Once a parking application is approved, take it to either Commuter Services office. Students living on campus are eligible for either a Quarterly or Annual Permit. Bring your Husky Card, drivers license, and your vehicle plate #/make/model/year.

Making Changes - Changes to commute options may be made at anytime, not just when renewing. Call 206-221-3701 or email prkissue@u.washington.edu to update your license plate number or other vehicle information so you can be contacted if necessary.

Renewing - You may renew your parking permit prior to its expiration date at either Commuter Services office. If your permit has expired you may not get the same parking assignment. Residence hall students renew their permits at Commuter Services. Apply for a parking permit through your residence hall desk if you were not living in campus housing during the preceding quarter or session.
