The University of Washington announced a new partnership with edX, the Massive Open Online Course provider from Harvard/MIT. These new UW online courses, under the name UWashingtonX, will be free and open to the public.

Items on the agenda will include a presentation on Sound Transit Plaza in the University District; a report on UPass and UW Transportation management; and brief updates on other on-going University projects.

Kate Bouchard, Assistant Dean, Finance and Facilities, Foster School of Business, will also provide a short tour of Paccar Hall.

An exhibit of images and manuscript excerpts about or by Norwegian explorer Roald Amundsen, the first person to lead a successful expedition to the South Pole in 1906, is on display until April 30 in the Allen Library Lobby. Cold Recall: Reflections of a Polar Explorer is co-sponsored by the Department of Scandinavian Studies.
