UW Professor of Geography Victoria Lawson will consider the “crisis of care” in the global era in the first Katz Distinguished Lecture of the 2012-13 academic year. Katz Lectures, which are free and open to the public, are organized by UW’s Simpson Center for the Humanities.
Starting with “Gender at Work in a Dot Com World”, three Wednesday evening lectures in November will explore topics of interest to young women considering a career in engineering. Sponsored by Women in Science & Engineering (WiSE), the lectures are FREE but registration is required.
