Plastics Unwrapped, a new exhibit from the Burke Museum, explores the impact plastics have had on our lives and our world with a special exhibit now through May 27, 2013, and a series of community events.

New director discusses key to UW teacher training

Free First Thursday coming up

Imagining a new U District

Regional & Community Relations has joined the new, four-year U District Livability Partnership (UDLP), dedicated to encouraging a more vibrant, walkable U District. The University is also sponsoring U District Next: A Community Conversation, which offers community members a way to get involved and share their ideas. Upcoming events are Dec. 6 and Jan. 31.


UW has strongest sustainability performance in the Pac-12

After submitting an assessment of its sustainability practices to the two-year-old Sustainability Tracking, Assessment & Rating System this fall, the UW received a gold rating, giving it the highest score among the nine Pac-12 universities that decided to assess themselves.
